This is an unofficial list of the events taking place at the Walt Disney World for 2015. This post will be updated regularly throughout the year as schedules are changed and officially announced. The list of events include all of our favorite annual events like Star Wars Weekends, Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, and of course, the holiday events including Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween Party, Candlelight Processional, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to name a few.

RECENT UPDATES:

  • Added Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 dates (for November and December 2015) and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates (September, October and November). You can find both below in their respective months.
  • Tickets will be available for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2015 in April 2015 (we’ll give you an exact date when it’s confirmed).

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

The 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend takes place Jan. 7, 2015 to Jan. 11, 2015 at Walt Disney World Resort. The marathon is an annual event which is a 26.2-mile run through all four Disney theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The weekend also features a half marathon, a 10k, a 5K, kids races, special multi-day challenge races, a five-day health expo, and more.

2016 Race Info: January 6-10, 2016; Registration opens April 28, 2015.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

“Cinderella” Sneak Peek & Golden Coach Display – January 17 – March 21, 2015. The park will be hosting a preview of the upcoming “Cinderella” movie at the ABC Sound Studio where the attractions “Sounds Dangerous” is usually going. From February 1, 2015 to April 11, 2015, the coach from “Cinderella” will also be on display on the Streets of America outside of the movie theater. It should make for some great photo ops.

There are a couple of holiday offerings ending on January 4, 2015 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights and the Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special , a 20-minute improvisational show that runs several times each day will both be ending on January 4, 2015.

Animal Kingdom

The holiday Jingle Jungle Parade in Animal Kingdom will continue to run daily at 3:45 p.m. through January 4, 2015.

February 2015

Women can celebrate their inner princesses at the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort, Feb. 18, 2015 to Feb. 21, 2015. This is run through 13.1 miles of the Walt Disney World Resort with a additional races scheduled for the weekend including the “Disney Enchanted 10k,” “Glass Slipper Challenge,” “Cinderella Royal Family 5K,” “runDisney Kids Races” and “Fit for a Princess Expo”.

2016 Race Info: February 18-21, 2016; Registration opens July 14, 2015

Atlanta Braves Spring Training

March 4-April 4, 2015
The Braves will begin their annual spring training at the Champion Stadium in ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex.

Epcot

Epcot’s  Flower & Garden Festival

The 2015 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is set for 75 days, running March 4, 2015 to May 17, 2015. Like many things around Walt Disney World, Disney will again give a nod to “Frozen” with some new Anna and Elsa character topiaries. Other entirely new Disney character topiaries will include Chip and Dale taking a star turn in two whimsical front-entrance “Goofy About Spring” floral vignettes.  Outdoor Kitchens will serve sweet and savory noshes, and guests can get “hands-on” with festival fun during Disney-led gardening seminars.

The 2015 Flower Power Concert Series and HGTV Designer Stage workshops dates have not yet been announced. The information from below was from 2014 and will serve as a rough guide to the future announcements.

The concerts were included in the price of admission to Epcot. The 2014 announced show schedules (subject to change) are below (2015 not yet announced):

HGTV Designer Stage Workshops (2014):

During weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday), an HGTV celebrity will do workshops twice a day at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. This is the lineup for 2014:

Star Wars Weekends

Star Wars Weekends will be held every weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from May 15, 2015 to June 14, 2015. With the new Star Wars movie hitting theaters this year, the event is sure to be even more popular than normal. The event includes Star Wars celebrities and characters for special shows and presentations. You can get autographs from an actual Star Wars actor, purchase event merchandise, kids 12 and under can train to be a Jedi and much more.

  • Weekend I: May 15 – 17, 2015

  • Weekend III: May 29 – May 31, 2015

Animal Kingdom

Expedition Everest Challenge

The Expedition Everest Challenge will be held May 1, 2015 to May 2, 2014. The 5K is a nighttime adventure run that includes obstacles, a scavenger hunt, and a Post-Race Party that takes place in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There is also a Family Edition and runDisney kids’ race.

Sounds Like Summer Concert Series

Another series of free concerts at Epcot with classic Rock ‘n’ Roll hits from June 7 – July 25, 2015 . The concerts take place under the skies of Epcot’s open-air American Gardens Theater! The “Sounds Like Summer Concert Series” is a popular annual event at Epcot theme with three shows nightly.

Car Masters Weekend

During select weekends in June, 2015, the “Cars” gang will be traveling from Radiator Springs to head Downtown Disney West Side for a family-friendly meet-and-greet event which celebrates everything about motor vehicles. Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile will be there along with, car shows, celebrities from the automotive world, and much more.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

This is a trick-or-treat event for everyone. You can dress up in your favorite costume and collect candy throughout the Magic Kingdom park. The event is held on select nights from September to October. The tone of the event is “not-so-scary,” which means children of all ages can enjoy this party.

Official Dates Announced: September 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27.

Tickets Available in April 2015. Continues into October – see dates below.

Night of Joy Event

The 33rd annual Night of Joy, a Christian Music event,  will be held between September 11, 2015 to September 12, 2015.

Be inspired by the top names in Christian music at Disney’s Night of Joy 2015. This is a special ticket event and takes place at Magic Kingdom on the dates mentioned above from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. This year’s group of talented artists includes Night of Joy veterans like TobyMac, Skillet, Matt Maher and Jeremy Camp. Up-and-coming artists new to the event include Seventh Time Down, I Am They, and Veridia, who will fill the park with soulful melodies alongside many other uplifting artists. Each fall Epcot brings food and wine from around the world to one convenient location. There are nearly 30 international food and beverage marketplaces and the Eat to the Beat concert series, with nightly performances from popular hit-makers.

The Magic Kingdom is transformed for the Christmas holiday with live entertainment, special event fireworks and holiday parade at this winter celebration. This event is held select nights in November and December.

Holidays Around the World in Epcot

Experience how the holidays are celebrated around the world with unique entertainment celebrating the spirit of the season beginning November 27 – December 30, 2015.

Although subject to change, holiday festivities may include:

  • American Adventure: Meet Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, celebrate the traditions of Hanukkah and discover the spirit of Kwanzaa.
  • Canada: Follow the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs on a musical tour as you explore seasonal customs of the Great White North.
  • China: Watch the agile Monkey King weave his tall tale with twists and turns celebrating Chinese New Year.
  • France: Discover the magic of Père Noël and the joy of the season through a Christmas letter from a child.
  • Germany: Listen as Helga tells the story of the first Christmas tree and the tale of her first Nutcracker.
  • Italy: Meet the kind-hearted witch La Befana who arrives on the eve of the Epiphany to grant gifts to good children.
  • Japan: Hear the fascinating story of the Daruma doll and the Japanese customs of the New Year.
  • Mexico: Celebrate with Los Tres Reyes Magos, the Three Kings, as they tell of their journey to the Posada and traditions today.
  • Morocco: Join Taarji, a Moroccan drummer, as he reflects on family traditions commemorating the holiday of Ramadan.
  • Norway: Spend time with Sigrid and learn about Julenissen, the Christmas Gnome.
  • United Kingdom: Share in the vivid stories of Father Christmas, dating back to 15th-century England.

Candlelight Processional

The Candlelight Processional lets you hear the story of Christmas as told by a special guest narrator with the rich sounds of a full orchestra and choir filling the theatre.

The Candlelight Processional is performed three times each evening, 5:00, 6:45 and 8 p.m., from November 27 to December 30. The line-up of celebrity narrators includes (entertainment and times subject to change):
