LEGOLAND Florida is located in Winter Haven, Florida, which is about a 45 minute drive from the Orlando area. This park is geared towards younger children, but with no small kids in our party, we had a BLAST!
The theme park is divided into 13 lands, and below you will find a little bit of information on what you will find in these areas.
In this area, you will find Island in the Sky, which is a very cool 150-foot rotating platform that gives you a 360° view of LEGOLAND Florida and the surrounding landscape, plus Market Restaurant, Big Shop, guest services and more.
Take a spin on the Grand Carousel, build your own minifigures at Minifigure Market, check out LEGO Factory and take in a 4-D movie at Wells Fargo 4D Theater. Guests can enjoy the Pizza and Pasta buffet or some Apple Fries at Granny’s!
This was my favorite land!!! Walk along the paths to see displays from California, Las Vegas, Washington DC, New York City and more – all created with LEGOs! Miniland USA contains over 32 million LEGO bricks with amazing scenes from Star Wars, familiar landmarks in Florida, Daytona Speedway, Smithsonian, the Washington and Jefferson Monuments, Golden Gate Bridge, Kennedy Space Center, pirates display and much more! I absolutely LOVED this area!
DUPLO Valley is the place for the little ones to have fun riding on the DUPLO Train, find the missing farm animals on the DUPLO Tractor ride, get refreshed in the DUPLO Splash and Play area or spending time climbing and building in the Tot Spot or DUPLO Farm play areas.
This area is so well-done! A big castle draws you in, and you feel like you are back in time. Kids, and big kids, can go for a ride on the indoor/outdoor steel roller coaster called The Dragon, take a spin on Merlin’s Challenge and more. I thought that the Royal Joust was so, so cute and fairytale-like! Would love to be young again to take a ride on that! Plus, you can grab a bite to eat at Castle Burger in this section.
Land of Adventure:
Coastersaurus, Safari Trek and Lost Kingdom Adventure are fun rides that can be found here. Kids will enjoy playing at Pharaoh’s Revenge, which is an outdoor attraction where they and their parents can fire soft foam balls at enemies and explore the maze of the Pharaoh’s kingdom.
LEGO City is all about driving! Kids can have a blast driving their own LEGO car and steering their own LEGO boat at Boating School, Ford Driving School and Ford Jr. Driving School. So great! Yummy foods to choose from in this land are the Fried Chicken Restaurant, Firehouse Ice Cream and Burger Kitchen.
This area is all about, well, you probably guessed it – IMAGINATION! Have fun pulling yourself to the top of a tower at Kid Power Towers, enjoy time at the interactive area that allows kids to play all the latest LEGO video games at Warner Bros. Games Zone, kids can build and program cutting-edge, computerized LEGO MINDSTORMS robots, and much more!
At LEGO Technic, you will find rides such as Project X, AQUAZONE Wave Racers and Technicycle. If you didn’t stop at some of the other restaurants mentioned, then grab a bite to eat at Lakeside Sandwich Co. or Robot Pit Stop.
Take in a water-ski live-action show at the Pirates Cove stadium.
LEGOLAND Florida was once home to Cypress Gardens that began over 75 years ago, and they have done a wonderful job in preserving the historic gardens. Walk through to see the botanical gardens that have been restored to pristine condition. You will find a beautiful collection of native plants like azaleas and camellias. An amazing site to see it the Banyan tree that was planted as a seedling in 1939.
This land is based on the popular LEGO Friends line of toys. Take a ride on Mia’s Riding Adventure, watch ‘”Friends to the Rescue” Live Stage Show, grab some candy at Sunshine Sweets or get an ice cream cone at Heartlake Ice Cream Parlor.
The LEGO World of Chima:
The LEGO World of Chima features some places to get wet! Take a spin on an interactive water ride called The Quest for CHI or wander through Cragger’s Swamp water play area. Plus, there are character meet-n-greet sessions in this land as well.
Overall, LEGOLAND Florida is a great place for the whole family! Let us know if you get a chance to visit!!! 🙂
