Today, Bea Miller released the music video for “Brand New Eyes.” Directed by duo Miles & AJ (who have recently worked with rising artists such as Billie Eilish, Stanaj, Jaden Smith, and Kid Ink) and shot in Los Angeles, the video features Miller alongside poignant clips from the Original Motion Picture WONDER. Watch it HERE.
The uplifting track, co-written by Miller, will be featured over the film’s end credits and was first featured in the movie trailer (watch HERE). The song’s lyrics, “Couldn’t let the world decide / All of the things that I can or can’t do / what if I had taken all the things / that broke me and made them my truth, perfectly capture the message of the movie. “I was able to see the movie to draw inspiration for writing the song,” says Miller. “Everyone is fighting their own battle and it’s really important to be there for one another. I’m so proud to be a part of this project.”
Directed by Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Beauty and the Beast, and Rent) and starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, and Jacob Tremblay, the film is based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER. It tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out. The film will be released on November 17, 2017.
