More information about the occasion:
More than 400 teens and their guests, ages ranging from 14 to 24-years-old, who are on dialysis, pre-dialysis or with a transplant, will receive an evening of glamour, fun and excitement. The prom attracts not only Southern California teens, but teens from across the United States: Washington, Arizona, Texas, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Colorado and New Jersey.
Guests enjoyed dancing and entertainment, with dinner, limousine rides, glamour photos, and visits by Hollywood celebrities.
Since 2000, the RSN Annual Renal Teen Prom has given young patients the opportunity to interact with their peers – some of whom will become lifelong friends – in a non-medical setting. This is their night to have what no young person should miss…the chance to enjoy being young!
The Prom is the inspiration of Lori Hartwell, RSN’s President and Founder, who missed her own prom because she spent all her teenage years on dialysis.
