June 24, 2013 — (Burbank, CA) – Multi-platinum Hollywood Records recording artist, Demi Lovato, is set to release “Made In The USA,” the new single from her critically acclaimed fourth studio album, Demi. “Made In The USA” highlights Demi’s soulful vocal flourishes accented by the song’s ringing guitars and steady backbeat. “Made In The USA” will ship to Top 40 Radio stations June 27, on the eve of Demi’s performance on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series. The cover art was photographed by Rankin and reflects Demi’s playful side and suits the tone of this love song perfectly.
On June 26, the “Made In The USA” lyric video will premiere on VEVO, with the official music video premiere to follow in July. Demi will be making an appearance on Good Morning America on June 27 and performing the follow day in Central Park on the ABC show. The following week, Demi will be performing with The Roots on VH1’s Philly 4th of July Jam. Lovato will announce more details on the official music video premiere. This marks the first time Demi has co-directed a video, and she has some special surprise actors appearing in the clip.
Lovato recently performed her hit singles, “Heart Attack” and “Give Your Heart A Break” on the Much Music Video Awards where she also took home the award for Favorite International Video. Demi is nominated for three Teen Choice Awards, including “Choice Female Artist,” “Choice Female Hottie,” and “Choice Smile.”
Demi’s eponymous album debuted # 3 in The US and # 1 in Canada, and reached # 1 on iTunes in over 50 countries around the world. In addition, Demi released a companion Multi-Touch eBook which features exclusive behind the scenes clips, notes from Demi, and a video performance of “In Case.” The eBook, available exclusively on iPad, debuted # 1 in 36 countries in Arts & Entertainment.
Demi is Lovato’s most personal album to date, and is an affirming celebration of life. Lovato co-wrote nearly every song on Demi, along with a team of top producers and writers including TheSUSPEX (Mitch Allan & Jason Evigan), Priscilla Renea, Ryan Tedder, Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou, Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub, Savan Kotecha, Ali Tamposi, The Monsters & Strangerz, Jonas Jeberg, Anne Preven and Matt Rad. “Made In The USA” was produced by Jonas Jeberg for Big Noize Productions, and the song was written by Jonas Jeberg, Jason Evigan, Corey Chorus, Blair Perkins, Demi Lovato. “I’m incredibly proud of this album,” Demi shared of her co-writing experience. “It’s better than anything I have ever done!
