Aedin Mincks from Disney Channel’s “A.N.T. Farm” spoke with Yahoo! Voices about becoming a series regular on “A.N.T. Farm,” what we can expect from his character, Angus, “Star Wars” and so much more!
Art Eddy: Congrats on becoming a series regular on the Disney hit series “A.N.T. Farm.” What was your reaction when your heard the news?
Aedin Mincks: Thank you! I was very happy, excited, and shocked!
AE: What can fans of the show expect from your character this season?
AM: Angus and the rest of the gang have grown and matured quite a bit. They are out living on their own now away from their families at the boarding school so they had to grow up. Angus still thinks he is “the man” and is pretty awesome.
AE: What do you like best about working on the show?
AM: I love our writers, and our cast and crew. Working on A.N.T. FARM has become like having a second family.
AE: I read that you get inspiration from acting from “Lord of the Rings” and “Star Wars.” How do those films inspire you to act?
AM: They are exciting to watch. It takes you to a different place and time – it’s like leaving reality and being something totally different. And those films are just something that interests me.
AE: I am a big “Empire Strikes Back” fan. It is my favorite film out of the saga. Which is your favorite?
AM: Hard to choose but If I had to pick one, “Episode VI: Return of the Jedi”, but “Empire Strikes Back” is awesome too, along with “The Phantom Menace,” those are my top 3.
AE: Are you excited about the new “Star Wars” films that J.J. Abrams is directing?
AM: Ummm, is water wet? (Laughs)
AE: Speaking of films you were in some great ones like “Ted” and “The Hangover II.” What was it like to be in those films with some funny actors?
AM: It was awesome getting to meet and work with such huge actors. I feel really blessed.
AE: What would be the next type of film you would love to star in?
AM: I would love to do an adventure action film like “Star Wars” hint-hint or “The Hobbit.” But I also love doing comedies. I would like it to be a good family film though- something I am actually allowed to watch!
AE: What do you do in your down time?
AM: Right now I am reading “Ranger Apprentice” books. I go to youth group. I am active in my church, and I just like hanging out, playing with my dogs and going to the beach!
