Disney’s First Mobile Star Wars Game: “Star Wars: Tiny Death Star”

Disney Interactive announced today that they have a new mobile “Star Wars” game. The game is being developed by NimbleBit, the creators of “Tiny Tower,” an extremely popular iOS game that features an 8-bit animation style. “Star Wars: Tiny Death Star” will feature the same graphics that has made “Tiny Tower” such a popular game. Players will join Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine as they construct a new Death Star. Along the way, they’ll have the opportunity to interact with iconic characters from the sci-fi franchise while building intergalactic businesses on the space station.

NimbleBit, in addition to “Tiny Tower,” has several other very popular mobile games like “Pocket Planes,” where players manage a fleet of air planes and the very similar vehicle-based “Pocket Trains.” They have also recently started a “Tiny Tower” animated series of shorts. Wonder if they’ll do anything similar “Star Wars: Tiny Death Star?”

No release date for “Star Wars: Tiny Death Star” has been set, but my guess is that it will be in the very near future.
