Laura Marano spoke with Sweety High while attending Girltopia: The World of Girl, the country’s largest expo for girls hosted by the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, that took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center this past Saturday (November 9, 2013).
The “Austin & Ally” star in conjunction with BYOU Magazine was one of the celebrity speakers at the event this year and talked about girls supporting each other, being positive, etc.
Laura said to Sweety High:
Unfortunately it feels like bullying has become more prominent these last few years. That shouldn’t happen. We should all be supportive of each other and all love each other and respect each other, gosh darn it!
She talked about being kind and that you might not know what others are going through:
A girl right next to you might not seem like she’s going through a lot, but she might be going through the same things that you are. There might be some emotional things going on that you don’t know about, so be supportive. Always be there for someone.
On being positive, Laura added:
I think positivity is awesome. I think this event is really cool because it’s promoting positivity, promoting girl love and girl support. I’m so happy to be here.
What a great message from one of the sweetest Disney starlets!
