Video: Disney Channel Special Brings Together Sofia the First and Ariel
Disney’s newest princess has an upcoming special in which she comes face-to-face with the iconic mermaid Ariel. Premiering on Disney Channel on November 24, 2013 at 7PM, “Sofia the First: The Floating Palace” centers around Sofia being magically transformed into a mermaid and she quickly discovers another mermaid, Ariel. Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel in the 1989 classic “The Little Mermaid,” reprises her role, and “Mad Men” actress Kiernan Shipka makes an appearance in the special as the voice of a young mermaid named Oona.
