Review: “Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Never Land Rescue” DVD
“Jake and the Never Land Pirates” is a very popular and award winning Disney Junior series based on Peter Pan that focuses on a band of young pirates (Jake, Izzy, Cubby) and their parrot Skully. They spend their time competing with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee for treasure. The young buccaneers have several friends that are important to them in the series including a mermaid friend named Marina and a “living” pirate ship called Bucky.
In “Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Never Land Rescue,” Jake decides that he needs to separate from the remaining members of his crew to go it alone when Never Land’s magic begins to disappear. In order to keep the magic from vanishing completely, he needs to save the Forever Tree, the source of the magic that encompasses all of Never Land. He is told all of this by “The Guardian,” a very mysterious figure who tells him that the only person that can save the island is the pirate that truly believes in himself. There is a video, directly below, about the Forever Tree.
