“Disney Animated” iPad App Updated to Include “Frozen”

We were first amazed by the very cool “Disney Animated” iPad app when we saw it at the D23 Expo in August and have written about it on a number of occasions. Disney Interactive has recently added the newest Disney hit, “Frozen,” to the app. If you’ve seen “Frozen,” the app lets you see how the animators brought Anna, Elsa, Olaf and all your favorite characters to life. You could probably spend hours on just that part of the app alone, but there’s more from “Frozen” to learn about such as the art and inspiration behind the Kingdom of Arendelle with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to concept art, character sketches, test animations and more! You can also control Elsa’s magical snow using an authentic re-creation of the visual effects animation system used in the film to create animations which can be shared with friends via email or social media.

Along with “Frozen,” the Disney Animated app allows you to have an inside look at the art and technology that brought all Walt Disney Animation Studios films to life, all the way back to the original, 1937’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” If you have a favorite Disney Animated Classic, its in the app. All of the movies include digital story chapters that are packed with fully interactive images, animated clips with flip-book style control, authentic Disney 3D character models that you can animate, a browsable timeline of all 53 Disney feature animated films, an interactive color map and more. You really need to try the app in person to truly appreciate all that it has to offer.

For a limited time, you can download Disney Animated for the special price of $9.99 from the App Store.
