New Renderings Detail Transformation of Downtown Disney to Disney Springs

Downtown Disney is undergoing the largest expansion in its history at it’s being transformed into Disney Springs. The changes are happening everywhere, and when complete, it will provide more opportunities to relax and have fun. Due to be completed in 2016, Disney Springs will double the number of dining and retail options. One of the interesting areas is the new Marketplace Co-Op, which has a variety of very unique Disney boutique shops.

It’s not surprising that the roadways surrounding Downtown Disney are expanding as well. This will eventually make it easier to access that area. Take a look at some of the renderings of the work above that showcase the work currently underway such as the widening of Lake Buena Vista Drive from 7 to 10 lanes and the two multi-level parking garages which provide 4000 parking spaces. There are also two pedestrian bridges that will be built. One of them will help lead guests into Disney Springs near the current Marketplace side and the other will offer access to the West Side.
