Who doesn’t love a good mystery? Universal Studios has everyone clamoring to figure out what they were cryptically posting about yesterday with the above image to their Twitter account with a tagline of “Who says lightning doesn’t strike twice?” This was the same tagline that was used for the reveal of Diagon Alley, and as such, has really gotten the twitterverse exploding with speculation. So, why is this on the Universal Orlando Twitter feed again when it’s only a month after Diagon Alley officially opened? Many were suggesting that it was to indicate Harry Potter 3.0 coming to Universal, but I don’t think that the lightning bolt looks something from Harry Potter. What else could it be?
If I were go guess, I’d say it might have to do with the rumored King Kong attraction which would represent Kong returning to one of the Universal Resort parks in the form of a new attraction. Many are claiming they can see something in the image such as a hidden boat or even dinosaurs. I don’t really see anything myself, but it’s certainly fun to speculate. Regardless of what it actually refers to, Universal proves once again that mystery marketing works.
