Universal Studios Orlando Resort 2014 Holiday Schedule

From Dec. 3 to Jan. 1, the Macy’s Holiday Parade fills the streets of Universal Studios Florida every evening with some of the same iconic elements seen winding through New York City each year at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Macy’s Holiday Parade is part of Universal Orlando Resort’s Holidays celebration, which features live entertainment that the whole family can enjoy.

Universal Studios Orlando Resort has released their schedule for the 2014 Holiday Season. The holiday attractions at Universal are amazing and a great place for families to enjoy the holiday season together.  The festivities begin Dec. 6, 2014, and run daily through Jan. 3, 2015. At Universal’s Islands of Adventure, must-see holiday events include Grinchmas at Seuss Landing which includes a live retelling of Dr. Seuss’s classic holiday tale, “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.” It features an original musical score by Mannheim Steamroller and guests can meet The Grinch and the Who’s. On select dates, you can enjoy a character breakfast.

At the other theme park, Universal Studios Florida, you can find the Macy’s Holiday Parade. You will have the opportunity to view the larger-than-life balloons that are seen in Macy’s famous Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The new addition this year is Chloe The Clown “Balloonicle”. It combines a towering balloon with a self-powered vehicle that roams the streets of Universal Studios. Sounds very cool. There are also some great floats and a tree-lighting ceremony by Santa Claus. Mannheim Steamroller will also return to the stage on special nights: Dec. 6, 7, 14, 15, 20 and 21.  All of the holiday entertainment are included with your regular admission to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure.

New Year’s at Universal’s CityWalk is a fantastic New Year’s Eve celebration that includes entertainment, several types of  party zones that have their own drinks and entertainment options, six different clubs with live music, gourmet cuisine, and includes Orlando’s largest dance floor. We’ll have more information the New Year’s Eve event and tickets when they are announced.
