Disney’s MyMagic+ Technology Expanding with On Attraction Video Recordings

Have you ever ridden an attraction and wished you could see your reaction on video? It’s now a possibility, albeit in limited fashion for now. The official Disney Parks blog has announced that Disney Photo Imaging’s PhotoPass system will now allow guests to receive video of their “drop” on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios via their MagicBand. You need to have two things in order for this to work: a MagicBand and you need to purchase the Memory Maker package for the video to show up in your My Disney Experience account. Take a quick glance at the video from Disney about the new system.

We’re sure it will continue to expand to new attractions so that guests will have the ability to capture video memories of their Walt Disney World vacation through MyMagic+. We’re also looking forward to the expansion of the system which could allow things like custom “park visit stories” such as your birthday celebration. In such a system, MyMagic+ would automagically generate your entire day at the park celebrating your birthday with personalized videos and images that were captured via your RFID bracelet.
