Disney’s efforts to help protect wildlife and is well known for it’s guiding force of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. If you look around as you explore the park, you can’t help but notice the conservation messages that are shared along with calls to action that encourage guests to get involved and learn about endangered species. Inside Conservation Station (seen in the photo above and provided by Disney), you’ll learn all about these efforts, and there are some interesting hands-on exhibits that detail Disney’s efforts to promote conservation awareness.
If you are interested in elephants, rhinos, and conservation efforts, September 23, 2014, will be an extra special day to visit. Animal Kingdom’s Conservation Station will be hosting Elephant and Rhino Day. There will be hands-on activities, the work of the Animal Nutrition Center will be a focus and Animal Keepers from the Elephant, Savannahs, and Ituri Forest teams will be present. They will share information and do a Q&A about the animal-care profession. You can also speak with representatives from various conservation organizations including the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund to learn more about opportunities to get involved.
