TV Guide had information on actress Patty Duke guest guest starring on an upcoming episode of “Liv and Maddie!”
Patty will again be playing twins (she is known for playing look-alike cousins Patty and Cathy Lane on the 1963-66 ABC sitcom “The Patty Duke Show”) on this Disney Channel series.
In the episode titled “Grandma-A-Rooney,” Duke plays Grandma Janice, who visits the Rooney family to present her granddaughter Liv (Dove Cameron) with the “Porcupine of the Year Award.” But Liv’s sister Maddie grows suspicious that it’s Janice’s twin, Great-Aunt Hillary (also played by Duke), who’s actually visiting and pulling a switcheroo.
Miss Cameron talked about meeting her and discussed what a pleasure it was to work with her:
They say you should never meet your heroes, but Anna [Duke’s real first name] is one of the kindest and most generous humans that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She taught me so much as an actor long before I knew her, and she continues to teach me even more as my friend.
Since this news hit the internet a little bit ago, some of the cast have shared photos of themselves with Patty.
Tenzing Norgay Trainor tweeted with his pic:
1 Oscar, 3 Emmy’s, 2 Golden Globes… and I worked with her! The Great Patty Duke! #livandmaddie #pattyduke
