The pics of Laura Marano that are featured in her article with Cliche Magazine are amazing. Plus, the “Austin & Ally” actress looks beautiful gracing the cover of their December 2014/January 2015 issue!

During her interview with them, Miss Laura talked music and more:

When did you begin songwriting and who or what inspired you to do so?

Laura said:

I was always singing—like, always. I obviously would sing along to songs I knew sometimes, but I actually would mostly just sing random songs that I wrote. When I was doing homework, visiting family, or just chilling in my room, I was always making up songs. Whether they were actually good songs is a whole other conversation. Honestly, writing songs was just something I felt like I needed to do; it felt more unnatural to not write songs. When I turned twelve years old, I realized that music was something I really wanted to pursue. I started going to voice lessons and writing with people more aggressively because I knew if I really wanted it, I had to work really hard at it. I really wanted (and still want) it.

Are you working on any projects that we should look out for?

She replied:

I finished two movies during Austin & Ally’s hiatus. One was an independent movie called A Sort of Homecoming. The second was a Disney Channel original movie called Bad Hair Day. Both will be coming out in 2015. I also worked on music a lot during this hiatus, which has been so amazing. I can’t wait for everyone to hear what I’ve been working on!

We can’t wait to hear what Laura has been working on and see her in “Bad Hair Day” this February!
