“Fast & Furious: Supercharged” Attraction Announced For Universal Studios Florida

Universal Orlando Resort made an official announcement today (August 25, 2015) of a new attraction based on the hugely successful Universal Pictures’ “Fast and the Furious” movie franchise coming to Universal Studios Florida. Fast & Furious: Supercharged will have an original storyline with several of the stars from the films including Vin Diesel (Dom Toretto), Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty) and Tyrese Gibson (Roman). The ride will be completed in 2017 and will continue the enormous growth at the theme park in Central Florida. In 2016, Universal Orlando’s fifth on-site hotel, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort will open as will Skull Island: Reign of Kong, in Islands of Adventure. Joining this new attraction in 2017 will be Universal’s Volcano Bay, an entirely new water theme park experience.
A “Fast and the Furious” ride opened as part of the world famous Tram Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood earlier this Summer, and if the reviews for that attraction are any indication, we can’t wait to try the new one in Orlando. Of course, when something new comes to the park, something usually gets replaced. Fast & Furious: Supercharged will be replacing Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue and Disaster. Disaster will close on September 8, 2015, while Beetlejuice will close later in the year.
