Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort Is Expanding


Universal Orlando Resort has been expanding. So great!! They just recently announced the “Fast & Furious: Supercharged” attraction arriving in 2017, Universal’s Volcano Bay – a new water theme park – made headlines in May of this year and is scheduled to open in 2017, “Skull Island: Reign of Kong” attraction will be opening summer 2016 and now some news today about an expansion of Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort.

Universal Orlando Resort and Loews Hotels & Resorts were thrilled to let everyone know of the expansion of Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort on Monday (August 31, 2015). There will be an addition of four-hundred new rooms. So much positive feedback has been received for this retro-themed resort since it opened in March 2014.

Opening in 2017, the expansion will consist of two additional towers that will be located at the south end of the property, adjacent to the Continental and Americana guest towers. And, select rooms in the new towers will give guests a spectacular view of Universal’s Volcano Bay.

Have you ever stayed at Cabana Bay? You will find that it is a destination within itself. A really stunning design with bold colors and sweeping vistas that will make you feel like you have been transported back to a time of relaxation and endless family fun. The amenities include two zero-entry pools, a waterslide, a lazy river, a 10-lane bowling alley and more. With 900 existing standard guest rooms and 900 existing family suites, guests can choose between two incredible room options. The family suite is a unique room option that sleeps up to six people and includes two queen size beds, a full-size pull-out sofa, a kitchenette area, a sliding partition for privacy, two flat-screen TVs and a compartmentalized bathroom with preparation spaces for three people at once.

There are some perks to staying at Cabana Bay. Guests receive exclusive benefits only available to on-site hotel guests at Universal Orlando Resort that include Early Park Admission (one hour before the theme parks open) and complimentary transportation to and from both of Universal Orlando’s fun theme parks and Universal CityWalk.
