We were excited to see some of the filming for this year’s “Disney Parks Unforgettable Christmas Celebration!” All 4 days of filming was done at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort. The Christmas special has become an annual Disney tradition and will air on ABC on Christmas Day. Take a peek at what took place below.
The cast of the Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants” were at the park to film their performance of “Rotten to the Core” from their hit movie on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Cameron Boyce, Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, and Booboo Stewart were all smiles as they greeted fans between takes and did a great job during their segment. The filming took place close to the castle, but not in front of it. See more pictures and video that I took here.
Country music singer Reba McEntire started off the 2nd day of taping for the celebration on November 11. I should mention that all of the singers took the stage in front of Cinderella castle for their performances. We were not able to be there on Wednesday, but have pictures courtesy of Disney. Tori Kelly (featured artist on the “We Love Disney” album) looked great, and I love this pic of her with Chip and Dale! Seal and Charlie Puth performed.
Janel Parrish from “Pretty Little Liars” is serving as the music correspondent for the show. Cute photo of her with Stitch.
Charles Perry and Jhen Aiko sang together on Thursday (November 12) early in the morning. David Foster, who produced the latest “We Love Disney” compilation album, played the piano during their duet and during some of the other performances of the day. Jason Derulo sang his version of “The Lion King” classic “Can You Feel The Love Tonight.”
Next up was Ariana Grande, and she sang 2 songs. We arrived just before she performed, and you can see more pictures and video here.
To finish out the day was Andy Grammer. We had left after Ariana, as it was soooo hot out! Actually got a sunburn too – and I never burn! 🙂
The final day of filming was saved for the floats and characters of the parade!
We are looking forward to watching this special on December 25 at 10 a.m. ET/PT! Are you???
