In news from the Orlando Sentinel today (Thursday, December 16, 2015), additional security measures are taking place at the theme parks in Orlando.
As of today, guests arriving at the 4 theme parks in Walt Disney World Resort will go through metal detectors, along with SeaWorld and Universal Orlando Resort. I don’t know about you, but it makes me feel a whole lot better knowing that everyone is being checked more thoroughly! We have noticed that Disney parks have added extra deputies and security guards. Makes us feel safe.
Some of the rules and regulations for entering the theme parks in Walt Disney World Resort have been updated. The official Twitter account for Walt Disney World Resort tweeted out a reminder earlier for everyone to check out their rules before entering a park. Click on the link in their tweet to learn more:
To ensure a fun and safe visit, we regularly update our Park Rules. Please review before you arrive to avoid delays: https://t.co/hN9ebqARne

One that has seemed to have changed is that guests 14 years and older cannot wear costumes.
With everything that is going on in the world today, it just makes sense to implement these changes. With the holiday season, there are so many more people visiting these parks. Be safe out there, everyone!
