Review: “Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales” DVD
I’m well aware I MOST LIKELY don’t need to tell you how big of a fan I am of Star Wars, or how big Star Wars actually is. It’s incredible from where it has come from to lead up to all of the amazing things it has to offer today. With that being said, Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales was a 5-part mini-series, televised on Disney XD over the course of almost 6 months in 2015. July 6th for the 1st episode and November 2nd for the 5th and final episode.
Lego Star Wars overall is a great way to introduce a younger generation into the world of Star Wars. I myself started with their games before I even started watching the movies. For those of you wondering, well, of course you are wondering, you are reading this: the stories take place after the 6th episode in the Star Wars movie franchise, Return of the Jedi, and ultimately our two main characters in these stories are R2-D2 and C3P0. In the first episode, R2-D2 is kidnapped and C-3PO sets out to find where he has been taken, and who has taken him. I do not want to spoil any of it for you, but that is the main story line throughout the entire mini-series. In between those antics, C-3PO recalls of stories from The Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones in the first episode, and Revenge Of The Sith in the 2nd episode. The 3rd and 4th episodes serve as tales from A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back respectively.
